VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
"African American Norms Project"
The UCSD HIV Neurobehavioral Research Center is recruiting for a research study called the "African American Norms Project." Dr. Marc Norman and his associate are developing standards on test of memory, thinking and general
neuropsychological assessments for African Americans between 20-84 years of age.
This one-time test will take about 2 hours and will focus on tests of memory, language, concentration, problem solving and motor skills. The testing does not involve any medical procedures i.e.. no needles.
Participants will be compensated $35 upon completion of the testing program.
Participants will be asked to provide a urine sample for analysis to detect any substance that might change the normal function of a health brain and nervous system such as alcohol, amphetamines, barbiturates and several of drugs that affect cognition.
